Abu al-Qasim Mahmud Ibn Umar al-Zamakhshari was born March 8, 1075, in the fortress Zamakshari. In his youth he studied in a madrasa in Bukhara and Samarkand, then for a long time lived in Mecca, where he earned the nickname "Jaralla". "close to God". He was a scholar, theologian, philologist and poet, who was revered on the East. In fact, all of his life he spent away from home, where he returned only in old age. Zamakhshari died in 1144 year in their home in the fortress Zamakshari (Izmukshir).
